Show your support by attending this event or by calling your councilman to express your support. This press release was issued by the Nashville Sounds today:

“We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. As you are likely aware, the city of Nashville and the Sounds have proposed a new ballpark at Sulphur Dell.

“We invite you to join us on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Council chambers in City Hall (One Public Square, Suite 204, Nashville, TN 37219) for the second reading and a public hearing will be held on the redevelopment district the ballpark will be located in.

“We are inviting Nashville Sounds supporters, as well as area residents and businesses to show their support of the ballpark!

“Remember, there are many reasons why this project is good for the Sulphur Dell area and the entire community, including:

•   The revitalization of the Jefferson Street corridor.

•   Connectivity to downtown and the benefits of a downtown stadium.

•   Affordable family fun.

•   Sulphur Dell as the historic home of professional home of baseball.

•   Enhancing the quality of life for downtown residents and visitors with additional green space and greenways.

“We hope you will give this invitation strong consideration and please know that your show of support at this meeting will make a difference!

“Thank you, and see you on Tuesday!”
